Eli Love Storyline - Day 2

The build up to the introduction of Rick Springfield as Eli Love moved forward today, with Patrick and Robin foregoing the Opera (the real one, not the soap one) to check out Eli Love in concert. Of course, Noah is bah humbugging the whole thing saying Eli was a "looser who threw his life away on something as frivolous as Rock and Roll". The one thing missing from today's episode was that at one point, Rick should have looked right at the camera and winked, because after all, we all are in on the joke, right?
So, how's this storyline being received so far.....maybe a little too early to really tell. The hard core, vocal Springfield fans seem to love it (no shocker there). The General Hospital fans (who probably better represent the pulse of the audience in general) seemed to be a little more mixed, with some thinking it's cheesy but funny, some thinking it's just cheesy, and some thinking it's plain stupid.

Oh, and we learned today that the finest profession on the planet is being a musician. Good to know. It was especially interesting to watch a neurosurgeon being preached to about sacrifice.

Not sure if Noah will make an appearance tomorrow, but many reports have Eli Love showing up on Thursday, so the story should start to go into full throttle very soon.
