Rick Springfield - Live and Luscious

Live and What? (Rick's thoughts exactly). That's what the poster advertising the Feather Falls Casino concert said (and judging by the picture we're posting from the Albuquerque concert, they weren't kidding). We didn't manage to get a picture of that poster, it was gone before the show started, but maybe someone did.
Rick Springfield performed two concerts this week - Feather Falls Casino in Oroville, CA and Route 66 Casino in Albuquerque, NM. The set list for the first night, was very similar to the Wendover show, and the Albuquerque show was similar minus Gloria. One slight change in a lyric that immediately caught my attention was during Will I - "I broke my heart on the reef of your insecurity". Which show was the best? Well, reviews are mixed, but not unkind (and yes, he did perform Alyson both nights) - I know I personally liked the Albuquerque show better, but I know others who went to both shows who preferred Oroville, but they were both high energy, crowd pleasing performances.

Rick has no shows scheduled again until the "7 shows in 8 days extravaganza" going on the first Week of May. We are hoping to blog the Milwaukee experience in a very timely manner, so stay tuned for that, too

Surprise!

Rick Springfield showed up on General Hospital today, somewhat unexpectedly, but what a nice surprise! And Noah and Patrick are working together instead of butting heads.....another nice surprise. However, why does everything seem like it's always left hanging in Noah's scenes? Surely, Surely, Surely we will get to see the operation that Noah and Patrick perform and the fall out from Dr. Ford. If not, then really, what was the point? True words have never been spoken - "storylines that go absolutely f*cking nowhere......."

Turn Up Your Radio, Love is King...

Turn it up loud this summer as more tour dates are filling in Rick Springfield's Human Touch tour. More tour dates were released yesterday, confirming Rick's visit to Atlanta in June as well as a new date in Pala, CA on September 29. See the full tour schedule here.

The Rhode Island and New York dates were also confirmed earlier today. Rick will appear in Lincoln, RI on 5/18/07 at the Events Center at Twin Rivers. He is also visiting Westbury, NY at the Northfork Theater on 8/08/07 (with Eddie Money as part of the We Are the 80s Tour). Please note that Ticketmaster has corrected their date to match the date posted on rickspringfield.com. Stay tuned for further updates.

These two dates go on sale in the next few days via Ticketmaster.

Rick's official website has also deleted the previously reported tour date in Sault Ste. Marie in Michigan. Again, since tour dates are constantly subject to change, it bears watching to see if the date at Kewadin in July (see below) is permanently removed from the schedule.

It's a crazy, busy time for Rick and his fans as the summer tour starts to fill in. Stay tuned and enjoy!
