Only on a Soap!

Rick Springfield showed up as Dr. Noah Drake today on General Hospital, in what appears to be the beginning of a new storyline, one that it looks like this time might actually play out. There seemed to be a hint of him doing something in regard to Dr. Ford and the Chief of Staff position, but that seems to have gotten swept under the rug. So keeping in mind that this is"a soap" and you have to just accept certain things as soap reality, they are still taking quite a leap of believability with some of this. Epiphany kept looking at Noah like she's never seen him before. It was somewhat believable for the new guy, Dr. Leo Julian, to be perplexed, but Noah has been back in Port Charles for about 18 months now, and not one person has ever indicated that he might look familiar. So it probably would have made more sense for Epiphany to be doing the double take with the paper, and not with Noah. That was just weird. And could Noah be any more whiney? Mommy, everybody's looking at me, make them stop! Reminds me of a four year old. And LOOK! It's Rick Springfield from the Daytime Emmy's in the Port Charles newspaper. No wait, it's Noah at Halloween being a rock star. No, actually it's Eli Love, apparently a popular (and I use that term loosely considering no one has recognized the similarity before) 80's musician that looks a little like Noah...ok a lot like Noah...ok exactly like Noah. By the way, reports from this weekend's concerts are saying Rick is getting over bronchitis Maybe Noah will get sick and Eli can return the favor and do some brain surgeries for him.....yep, only in a soap.Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!
